It seems a little strange, but this website/blog is actually the product of a project from a college class. Since starting the blog, I have successfully graduated and moved on with my life. But I don’t think I’m ready to move on from cryptids yet.
Now that I successfully received my Bachelors of Science in Public Relations (with honors!), I am at a crossroads in my life. I don’t fully know what to do next and, due to health and current events, am taking a bit of a break in my schooling/career path.
So I have some time on my hands and have been wanting to work on a pet project. But no matter how many other things come up, my mind keeps wandering back to this cryptid blog that was created out of 50% necessity and 50% whimsy.
I want to work more on this blog. I want to draw more cryptids, both “realistic”/based on sightings and my own interpretations of them (I also have an AA in Studio Arts, so may as well use it). And now that I don’t have a professor dictating how my site should look/run, I have free reign to make this into a glorious mess.
I look forward to posting more on cryptids and look for a possible re-work of the site moving forward!
